Production schedule (updated 4/22/08)

4-18-08
On Sunday or Monday (depending on the day that the actor is available) I will record the voice of the actor, for the narration. I will not be able to shoot the footage I intended to shoot because I made a mistake in the reservation and rented out a digital camera instead of a dv camera. This, however, doesn't slow down the process very much because I plan on using photos instead of footage for certain shots in the beginning, like when he is comparing the good and bad about the Bronx. Before I obtain the sound however I will have finished the the animations so that I can tell exactly how long I want the sound to be. The actual shooting will be done from Thursday-Monday in that time range. The reason why I give such a general range of time is because the actors will be available at different days and i plan to shot in at least 2 parts or more. One day shoot the scenes with Norman in his room on the computer and the rest of the days shoot the scenes that come in while he is describing them.

4-22-08
I have casted 3 friends to act out the parts of the characters. Damion Blaire, Adriana Warner and myself as Norman, Mike and Chris. me and Damion will be playing mike and Chris and Adriana will be Norman. I have rented a camera for use on Thursday I will shoot as much as I possibly can on that day. Also I have found someone who might just be able to help me out with editing if i can finish the shooting on Thursday, which is something I'm confident I can do so there will be a 90% chance of him being able to help me edit. If all this goes according to plan I can start editing as early as Sunday-Monday and just continue to edit to completion from then on. I know exactly what I want to do in editing so I don't think it will take too long. I think that I can have the movie done with just enough time to be able to make a decent title sequence, without having to worry too much about the movie in terms of completing it.

my psa

my midterm video is up this is the url:
My PSA

this is the script i used for the commercial:

Over the past few years we’ve made a lot of advancements that were only made possible because of the internet. We can now share information faster, find and buy practically anything online, sell your companies products like putting your music up online and selling it to gain revenue much faster if you’re a musician for one. and sometimes you can build enough recognition online that can be the start of something much greater. It has revolutionized the way we view the world

There’s so many ways I can use the internet to make my life easier.

I can send a mail to my family overseas, for free!

I can talk to my friends from wherever they are.

I can sell my music online so it can reach more people faster and increase my sales.

I can buy things that I wouldn’t be able to find in any store offline.

I can show off my work via writing, pictures or video and gain enough popularity that will hopefully catapult me towards the next level.

I can listen to the latest music, instantly.

{fades out but not completely the voice can still be heard in the background. As the voice continues in the background a new one talks over it}:

All these things are made possible by the internet, but they aren’t the only uses for it, there are so many more, some more important than the next. but now Comcast and AT&T are monopolizing the internet by limiting the speed of sites that aren’t affiliated with them and charging sites extra just to maintain a regular speed. If they aren’t stopped the freedom we now enjoy on the internet will seize to exist.

But there is a solution, By introducing the “freedom preservation act” to your congressman which helps enforce network neutrality we can stop the monopolization of the internet. Net neutrality is simply an internet law that states that the internet should always stay neutral to all parties that use it and that no one should be charged extra to get faster speed to the sites that they what to access. So please, visit www.savetheinternet.com to find out how to introduce the bill to your congressman and to get more information on Net neutrality and on Comcast and AT&T’s plans.
